Why Beijing and its surroundings are really worth visiting!

China, was not my first go to, to be honest. China is not always positive in the news; Covid starter, not to mention the tensions with Taiwan, bonds with Russia, communism and human rights. One of my best friends decided, together with her husband and children, to move to Beijing for two years. After many pictures and stories from my girlfriend, I became very curious and I wanted to visit the country as soon as possible. So when the Chinese border reopened to tourists in March 2023, I did everything to live the expat life in Beijing for 10 days. And this was an incredibly positive surprise!

Although China and Beijing were not high on my travel list, I still experienced this as a genuinely nice, beautiful and special experience. Quite different but also very recognizable. From the ancient historical building and different culture and stunning nature to the hyper modern buildings and high-end technics in cars and devices to an incredible food experience. So if you have the chance go!! You won’t regret it.
