Indonesia Travel Blogs

Indonesia is one of those countries I keep coming back to. For me, it started with Bali. I first visited Bali in the eighties, when Kuta was still the heart of the island. A lot has changed since then, but Bali still has that mix of good food, beaches, rice fields, temples, surf, massages, boutique stays and easy island life that makes it such a good idea.

Bali is also a great base for exploring more of Indonesia. It is easy to start there, settle into the rhythm and add other islands to your trip. I also love ending in Bali after a more adventurous route. After boats, long drives and dusty travel days, it feels good to have comfortable hotels, good restaurants, beach clubs, cafés and a few little luxuries around you again.

Over the years I have also visited Java, Nusa Lembongan, Gili Trawangan, Lombok and Flores. Some trips were about beach days, surfing and island hopping. Others were more adventurous, with boats, long travel days, Komodo dragons, mountain roads and places that take a little more effort to reach.

On this page you will find my Indonesia travel blogs, with honest tips, practical routes, where to stay and what to expect. More Indonesia blogs will be added over time. Below you will find my Indonesia travel blogs. Some are already online, and more will be added slowly as I work through my Bali, island and Flores stories.

In all my Indonesia blogs I will give you inspirations, information and tips to plan your travel. Hope you like it and please let me know!
